for the past few weeks, my leg developed some funny trail of rash and i thought it would go away. but apparently, it did not subside =/ so i headed to the school clinic to see a doctor.

and guess what?!!

ITS HOOKWORM INFECTION! OMGOMGOMG!


i was told by the doctor that this is caused by the larva of hookworm that had penetrated through my skin. This hookworm will crawl its way up which explains the development of the trail =/ OMMMMMGGGGG! SO GROSSSSSS!

the doctor prescribed some anti-itch pills and cream but sadly, the clinic doesnt has the medication to treat it. so i had to go to NUH to get my prescription instead. luckily nuh is only 2 bus stops away. so it wasnt too much of a trouble..


i guess i must had caught the hookworm when i went to fly kite -_-'' because that was the only time i remembered sitting on grass. the doctor told me that hookworm infection possibly happen if i walked barefooted, been to a beach or have any contact with soil that is contaminated with the larva of hookworm. hmmm....so people, stay away from soil and sand!

i realised i always like to wait till the very last minute before heading to the clinic to see a doctor...the rash has been there for like so many weeks and i only went to see the doctor like TODAY...tsktsk...to think i study human behaviours on why people refuse to seek treatment, im one valid example myself...-_-'' and this isnt the first time i delayed seeing a doctor...i always wait till i have nth better to do before i decide to get myself checked by the doctor...this is bad!

today is a happy day because its SELF-DECLARED FREE FRIDAY! wheee! after having meeting in school this morning, visit to clinic and back hm, i decided i shld just take a break from work! =) i wanted to bake something...but by the time i reached hm, was already 4plus...booo! no more shortbread!

im feeelllinggg so sleepppyyyy....cant wait to eat my dinner so i can eat the medicine...the thought of having some hookworm larva crawling underneath my skin is making me feel so disgusted...what if they already made their way to my intestine?!! OMG! YUCKS! EEEKS!
